September 11, 2011

As I have been preparing for this coming Sunday, I have been getting in touch with all my feelings -- both about 9/11 and about all that has happened as a result of 9/11.   I've been talking with and thinking about those in the planes and in NYC that day, those who had loved ones in NYC, those who responded to the airplane crashes, and those who have been sent to war because of the events of 9/11.   I have been thinking of those who love all them.    I have been thinking about the pain of choosing how to respond to terror in the world.  And I am full of grief for all of us as we muddle our way through life  -- hurting those we love and those we fear and never finding the peace which we all say we desire.

This Sunday I'm going to take time to walk the labyrinth in Nashua and pray for all of us -- and remember.  I hope you will find your own way to remember, to mourn and to begin to work for a better tomorrow for all of us.

I found this quotation from Mahatma Gandhi.   I liked it.
I offer you peace.
I offer you love.
I offer you friendship.
I see your beauty.
I hear your need.
I feel your feelings.
My wisdom flows from the highest source.
I salute that source in you.
Let us work together.
For unity and love.
